Cold Stinks

Since I turned the temperature down, I have been walking around the house wrapped in a fleece blanket even though it is the middle of November

Cold weather has consistently been one of my worst enemies. I grew up in the North, so you would guess that I would be used to frigid hot and cold temperatures, but being used to something and enjoying it are totally different things. I may be used to frigid weather, even though I really don’t love it. When I was in school, my roommates would laugh at me because I used a heated blanket, and I had an electric boiler beside my bed year round. I am a small woman, and keeping moderate has consistently been a challenge. When Sam and I got married, I didn’t realize how hard it would be to keep the house at a temperature that would suit both of us. Sam prefers it around seventy degrees in the house which is undoubtedly normal, even though I love the house to be around eighty degrees. When my good friend and I first got married, he would usually cave in to my desires and keep the house at eighty or so degrees year round, but lately he has not been able to sleep because of how moderate it is in the living room. Although it isn’t simple for me, I decided to turn the control unit down to seventy-five to try and get a blissful medium for the two of us. Since I turned the temperature down, I have been walking around the house wrapped in a fleece blanket even though it is the middle of November. Someday, I hope to convince my partner to move to some site where it’s moderate year round, so that I don’t have to worry about freezing all of the time.
