Losing Heat During a Blizzard

He came a few hours early to repair the furnace.

Last winter season was one of the hardest winters that my family has ever experienced, then my Grandpa passed away unexpectedly in February, and it took quite a toll on the family. To make matters even worse, we had planned a huge Christmas party at our home that we simply couldn’t cancel because many friends and family members had already bought flights to fly down for it, but over forty people were planning to attend the event. The night before the tied up party, we had the greatest blizzard our little town had ever seen. By the next afternoon, there was over five feet of snow on ground, and everything was frozen, then unfortunately, our furnace decided to quit on us the night of the blizzard, and no one realized it until we all woke up the next afternoon freezing cold. My brother and his family had already arrived, and they were staying in our two guest study rooms up stairs, however he is one of those people who consistently speaks his mind, and he had a lot to say that afternoon. Thankfully, my hubby’s best friend, Dave, is an HVAC serviceman, and he planned on attend the party that afternoon. He came a few hours early to repair the furnace. The roads were a mess because of the snowstorm the previous night, so Dave wasn’t able to go and choice up the part need for the furnace. He was able to jimmy rig the thing enough to get it to turn on for a few hours, and we were certainly grateful to have a warm home when our guests arrived. My buddy and I will never forget that crazy afternoon, and we are forever grateful for Dave and his friendship.
