Losing Heat During a Blizzard

Last winter time was one of the hardest winters that my family has ever experienced; My Grandpa passed away unexpectedly in December, & it took quite a toll on the family.

To make matters even worse, my associate and I had planned a large Christmas celebration at our house that my associate and I simply couldn’t cancel because several friends & family members had already bought flights to fly down for it, then over forty people were planning to attend the event.

The night before the busy celebration, my associate and I had the largest blizzard our little city had ever seen. By the next afternoon, there was over five feet of snow on ground, & everything was frozen! Unluckyly, our boiler decided to quit on us the night of the blizzard, & no one realized it until my associate and I all woke up the next afternoon cold cold. My sister & her family had already arrived, & they were staying in our two guest bedrooms up stairs… She is one of those people who always speaks her mind, & she had a lot to say that afternoon. Thankfully, my hubby’s best friend, Dave, is an Heating & Air Conditioning specialist, & he planned on attend the celebration that afternoon. He came a few hours early to service the boiler. The roads were a mess because of the snowstorm the previous night, so Dave wasn’t able to go & option up the part need for the boiler. He was able to jimmy rig the thing enough to get it to turn on for a few hours, & my associate and I were honestly grateful to have a sizzling house when our guests arrived. My associate and I will never forget that deranged afternoon, & my associate and I are forever grateful for Dave & his friendship.
