My grandpa gave me an old heater

I love my grandpa so much.

I have no idea what I will do when he passes away.

I know that I should not think about that, but I have trouble not thinking about sad things. I try to spend as much time with him as possible while he is still here. He has been quite sick lately, and I can tell that he thinks that he is going to leave us soon. He is trying to give away a lot of things in his house. He is selling things that he knows his grandkids probably won’t want, and he is giving us the money. I feel so bad for him, but he is just as jolly as ever. He invited me over the other day, and we went through a section of his garage, and he asked me if I wanted anything in that section. I saw an old heater, and I asked him if it still worked. He was not sure if it worked or not, so we tried it out. The heater did work. I was a little afraid to take it because it was so old, but my grandpa told me not to worry about it. He said to make sure that I turn the heater off when I sleep and when I leave the house. If I only use it when I am awake and at the house, he said that I should not have any problems. I hope that he is right because I have always been afraid of using space heaters. I feel like I am going to catch my house on fire. I know that it is possible, but if I use the heater the way that my grandpa recommended, I probably won’t have any issues with it.
