Saying farewell to the gas furnace

Well, this is the last rodeo for our new gas furnace.

And wow, that thing has done an incredible task for us.

That old gas furnace has been heating our home now for nearly 30 years. And it wasn’t even the best in residential Heating and A/C back when my associate and I had it installed. Wow indeed, nothing like replacing a 28 year old piece of Heating and A/C equipment to show you just how much time went by. And I mean, it went by fast. One morning, we’re buying this home and calling the Heating and A/C contractor out to put in a new gas furnace. Then, it seems like no time until my associate and I were finding out that being empty nesters wasn’t so awful after all. Still, I have to tip my cap that gas furnace. I also have to tip my cap to the Heating and A/C contractor for that matter. They are a absolutely big reason this heating source went as long as it did! Each fall, the Heating and A/C contractor would come out to do the heating repair on the Heating and A/C unit. So that gas furnace was checked and worked on every, single year that it was in our home. In 28 years, my associate and I had one glitch. That happened to be a burned out fuse that was actually upgraded. And because my associate and I were in the Heating and A/C service plan, it didn’t cost us a dime. With our Heating and A/C service plan, there is no charge for an Heating and A/C service call for a breakdown. I only have to spend money for the parts. And since it was a fuse, the Heating and A/C contractor told me not to worry about it. Here’s to our old gas furnace and I can only hope the new one is anywhere near as good.
