Skin gets dry while in the winter months

If you are like me, you dread the winter months for numerous reasons.

I enjoy being outdoors and do not like having to dress in a bunch of layers.

I do not like when my ears and toes are cold and legitimately cannot rest chapped lips. I know that when the winter season rolls around, I have to be prepared in my home to stay comfortable. The heater dries out my skin and hair more than anything else. The only thing I have to save me from this uncomfortable aliment is the humidifier that I purchased last winter. The dry heat in the home legitimately irritates my skin and makes it so itchy, but not only am I suffering, but my dog does as well. He hates cold weather just as much as I do. Once I purchased the humidifier, I noticed an instant relief from the itchy and dry skin that I have been dealing with most of my life. My dog also stopped itching as much. I wondered if this was the answer to my dry skin concern that I experience every winter. I had to suppose that there must be a reason that no one had mentioned this before. Was it all in my head? Was the heater in my home drying out my skin, or was I just used to the humid air that usually lingers around my house? Either way, this new revelation was going to change my life. I also do not like wearing lotion. The last thing I want to do in the cold winter months is worry about having to put a cold lotion on my skin when I get out of the shower. That sounds exhausting to me.
