My men both play Little League Football for the neighborhood and care about it.
There are times that I wish they didn’t because it takes up so much of our summer; They have practice 4 days a week and games almost every weekend.
The games are played rain or shine unless there is a treat of a thunderstorm, however i know that this teaches them pricey life lessons such as commitment and hard work so I agree to let them participate each year. The greatest issue for me is resting as a spectator in whatever that weather is. I find that I would rather stand in the freezing rain and stand out in the blazing sun for hours because I get warm honestly easily. I typically make sure to take plenty of water but as I stand seeing the game I find myself wishing I were in my air-conditioned home instead… Most of the pigskin fields set drought in the direct sun because there are honestly few trees around so my associate and I do not even have the benefit of shade to keep us cool, but when my associate and I finally get home from the games the men hit the showers and I go stand directly in front of the vent for my Heating, Ventilation and A/C system to cool off. I even turn the temperature down a few degrees for a short time just to get much needed relief. I have read about programmable control units and I am considering having one installed because then I would have the home at my desire temperature before I walked in. Those few degrees make such a difference and I could simply log on to my cell phone and make the change while my associate and I were driving home from the field. I care about seeing my kids play ball and I am honestly proud of them but I also care about when I can escape the heat and re-energize myself from baking in the sun.
